Happy New Year!!!!! In my first post of the new year, I thought it would be appropriate to look back on the past year…
Two thousand seventeen was a world wind of a year for me. This year has given me the happiest moments of my life, but also the most painful.
This year I got to marry my best friend and the man I love most. We got to honeymoon and see some of the most beautiful places in Italy. Along the way, I got to grow closer to my bridesmaids and family as they helped me prepare for our wedding. From my bridal shower to my bachelorette, my bridesmaids were so loving and generous. We also got to see family we haven’t seen in years, who traveled all the way from Vietnam and Australia to celebrate our big day.
Two thousand seventeen gave me the highest of highs, but also the lowest of lows.
In April, we suddenly lost our most loved uncle and it’s changed our family in ways I can’t describe. It’s still a ‘I can’t believed that happened’ moment and it’s a constant ache in my heart.
This year was monumental for me. It has forced me to trust in God’s will, taught me not to take my loved ones for granted, and made me love in ways I never knew I was capable of.
God has blessed Trey and I so much this past year, in ways I don’t deserve. Two thousand eighteen holds so many exciting things for the two of us. I cannot wait to share with you ;)!
Happy New Year and thank you so much for reading! I’m so grateful for all of you who stop by and read my ramblings and look at my awkward poses.
I’m not a big fan of New Year’s resolutions but here are a few anyways:
- be kinder & more appreciative of my parents and husband
- be more consistent with blogging 😅
- get my sh*t together & have my in-laws over for dinner
