Today I’m sharing my Venice day ✌🏼 outfit. I wore this gorgeous forest green jumpsuit for another day of exploring the Venetian canals.
In all our time in Italy, Venice was the coolest weather wise. If I wasn’t wearing maxi dresses, I was wearing long jumpsuits to keep my legs “warm”. Surprisingly, these Steve Madden Irenee’s were comfortable enough for me to walk through Venice. There were a few must haves in preparation for our big trip and these Chloe oversized Carlina sunglasses were definitely one of them. I had been coveting these for several months and after lots of deliberation and going back and forth to the store to try them on, I jumped the gun and got them. And I have no regrets, although I should.
I thought I had packed my “best” outfits for Italy, but I could not keep up with these European ladies. They were dressed so chic and already had their fall outfits out, while I was still living in my Italian summer honeymoon clothes. But after speaking to a few locals, they said 75 degree weather was cold for them haha.
On our second day in Venice we toured the Basilica di San Marco (St. Mark’s Basilica) and set out to find the best gelato in Venice. The Basilica was incredible and one of my favorite parts of Venice. There’s just something incredible about setting foot in these old churches and learning the history of the church and its significance. It made me fall in love with the faith all over again. As for the best gelato, I would I have to say Suso was the best we had in Venice.
Every street, every corridor, every canal was a photoshoot opportunity. I have tons and tons of pictures, it was so hard to choose just a few to share. And almost everywhere we went and would stop to take outfit pictures, people would always stop and offer to take pictures of both Trey and I haha. And we would always have to decline and explain to them that I just wanted pictures of myself (embarrassing).
Stay tuned for our third and last day in Venice and how easy it was to get from there to Rome!
