I have officially found THE dress! And I am so happy the hunt is over.
I think shows like Say Yes to the Dress really exaggerates the process of picking out a dress. The show makes it seem like it’s the most important thing to ever happen to a girl and you’re life will be over if you don’t pick THE one.
I made just over a handful of appointments all around the city and it was fun at first, until it got really old. I went in with an open mind to each appointment. My only must-have was that the dress be an off-the-shoulder (my friends are all rolling their eyes because it’s so typical me).
Below are some of the dresses I tried on and almost loved…I’ll reveal THE dress on the big day ;). So stay tuned!
My bridesmaids, mom, future M.I.L., and I went from place to place and we always left really liking one dress from each of them. I probably tried on 35 dresses altogether.
By the end of it, I just wanted it to be over. I just started to get really confused as to what I wanted. There would be features of a dress that I LOVED but then I wouldn’t like any of the other parts. For example, I would love the top of one dress, but the skirt or train would be lacking. I think it may be because I found a dress I loved early on, and all the other dresses didn’t compare or would make me question the dress I already loved.
Now that the hunt for my wedding dress is over, the hunt for my reception dress is on! Some dresses I’m interested in are….
I’m always needing advice when it comes to planning a wedding and wedding do’s and don’t so if you have any please share!
