Have you ever been so excited to wear something and then when you finally do things just don’t go as planned for such a heavily anticipated outfit?

Maybe it’s just me. Maybe I’m just crazy. But I wore this gingham get-up our first full day at the US Open and was so excited to flaunt this dress. According to weather reports that Saturday was supposed to be 85 degrees and sunny. But it was totally wrong. Instead, it was about 75 degrees – cool and breezy. Boy did I look like I was underdressed and under-covered for the day. For most of the day I was fine. I was cheering and screaming for Stan Wawrinka, which totally got my blood flowing (I lost my voice the next day). But as evening approached, I was shivering. While everyone was walking around with jackets, I was walking around with my boobs popping out. Yikes. Trey and I decided to do a little tennis apparel shopping to keep warm inside stores and then headed home. We got back to our hotel around 11:30 that night. We were cold and tired, and desperately craving some hot chocolate. So we threw on a new, warmer outfit, headed out to see the city at night and hit up Max Brenner. We had their chocolate fondue (so good!) last time we were in the city, so we opted for just drinks this time. I ordered their Italian Thick hot chocolate and it was like drinking pure melted chocolate. I took two sips and was done.

I hope you all have had a good week so far. I have few more outfits to share and some exciting news! More details to come next week!
