I’m back! I’ve been neglecting this blog for more than a week and I feel so behind.
Last week was such a crazy week for me. Trey and I left for NYC early early Thursday morning and we didn’t get home until early early this Tuesday morning. And before we left for our trip we both were running around dealing with professional projects and getting our head straight to take the next step in our careers — more on that later.
So by Thursday morning we had arrived in NYC for the US Open! (I’ll share more about our first few days in another post.) We had tickets for the Open from Friday through Monday, so needless to say we are all tennis out, or at least I am. But it was an incredible and extremely fun trip. I’m so grateful that we got to attend and got to watch some of the best players. Trey was in tennis heaven and I was enjoying eating delicious food while sitting courtside. I think this was one of the best trips we’ve taken to date.
Anyways, I had my outfits planned according to each day and daily weather conditions. This dress was definitely one of my favorites of the weekend. (It was surely inspired by this Tory Burch dress.) The dress was perfect for church Sunday morning and tennis the rest of the day. It was both comfortable and fun for an outdoor event.
I also picked up these sunglasses for the trip. I got them in the tortoise shell and nude color (currently sold out) and they have quickly become my favorites. They’re really sturdy, well made, and come with an affordable price tag. I even think they’re better quality than some of my high-end designer sunglasses. I highly recommend them!
Trey and I were definitely newbs going into this trip, but quickly learned when it came to where to stay, which was the most cost/time efficient trains to take, and how to get the best seats outside of Arthur Ashe Stadium.
I’ll be sharing more of my outfits in the next few days. Hope you all have a good one!
