Another day…another white & blue off shoulder combo.
I’ve been searching high and low for the perfect pair of white jeans. And I think I’ve finally found them!
It’s been tough because white jeans are not the most flattering, especially if you don’t have toothpicks for legs. Instead of having a slimming effect, it does the exact opposite on me. I’ve probably tried on dozens of white jeans in my quest to finding the perfect pair. Some pairs would be too thin, like a legging material, rather than a nice denim. Other pairs would be so tight, my legs looked like they were in sausage casing. Yum – not a good look.
I wanted a pair that met these criteria:
- Moderately thick and not see through
- Comfy with some stretch
- Some distress
- Petite sizing
- High waisted
And these Zara jeans met almost everything on that list (wish it was high waisted – it’s a mid rise). The jeans were a tad bit longer than I preferred, but since it already had an unfinished hem, I just shortened them by an inch with a pair of scissors.
I paired these with my favorite top at the moment, which I ordered from SheInside (based out of China). It was my first time buying anything from SheInside, but I had heard pretty good reviews from other bloggers. And for such a cute top, I was willing to gamble away $15. I try to be really careful when buying from sites I haven’t heard of or sites based outside of the U.S. I usually check site reviews on trustpilot.com. If I do make a purchase, I do it through Paypal, so the site doesn’t get direct access to my credit card info. It took about two and half weeks for the top to get here and I am so happy (and surprised) with the fit and quality!
*For reference, I’m wearing a size XS in the top and a size 4 in the Zara jeans.
