Vacation recap part two:
These are a few cover ups I wore on vacation last weekend. Both have long sleeves and were light weight enough to wear walking along the beach and before/after swimming. We were really lucky this weekend with the weather. We had a few rainy mornings with sunny but cloudy afternoons. So it wasn’t scorching hot and unbearable spending hours on the beach!
Details of my bathing suits can be found on this post.
If you don’t already know, Trey and I are a mixed race couple (he’s a tall, blue-eyed white guy and I’m a petite Vietnamese girl). We come from two completely different backgrounds and upbringings. So you wonder: how does he do on vacations with so many Vietnamese people? He honestly does amazing! We’ve been dating for over three years now and he’s so comfortable with my family. He can eat the food, talk and joke around with my aunts, uncles, parents, and cousins, and can keep up with the language (sometimes). Now don’t get me wrong, after four days he’s about worn out, but I really got lucky with this guy.
When we first started dating, the idea of bringing him to a family event, let alone a family vacation, was daunting. I was worried about how he would fit in and how my family would treat him, but things really worked out. My family is very loving and welcoming, and he is very relaxed around them.
